We were looking for a fun little adventure (in my family we call it going on a "bonny") for this weekend. Sarah and Isabella have never been to Craters of the Moon, and Craig hasn't been since high school, so we decided it could be kinda cool. It was about an hour and a half drive from Blackfoot, and only 8 dollars to get in! We went on a couple of little hikes, and had a lot of fun seeing the cool caves. Isabella was a trooper, and the only time she got grumpy was when we put her back in the car! In fact, we were both a little jealous that at the end she still had the energy to hop around the visitor's center saying "Jump!" We only spent a few hours there, but it was a lot of fun!
Spelunking at 16 weeks pregnant
Sarah at Splatter Cone
It's supposed to look like the hole in the rock was eating Craig's hand, but you can't see it.
Isabella was walking along the trail...
but then she apparently got a little tired.
So she just sat down in the middle of the trail.
This was at Snow Cone, a little hole in the ground where snow never melts all the way.
"Hey you cool baby!"
Inside one of the caves! Isabella loved having a glow stick.
Isabella thought the cave were pretty neat.
At the back of Boy Scout Cave. It had a very small opening, so Craig went in by hisself.
At the mouth of Beauty Cave
Headed into Indian Tunnel
There were pigeons nesting in the caves

More of Indian Tunnel
Indian Tunnel went on for a little while
This is Craig coming out the far end of Indian Tunnel. It was about 800 feet long, then you came out a small opening and had to hike back across the lavas.
We had so much fun seeing Craters of the Moon and exploring caves!
