On February 1st we celebrated Jack's birthday! We adopted Jack from the pound 3 years ago on February 1st and have called it his birthday ever since. Here are some pics of his big day!
February 1st was also a special day in our lives not only because that's when we adopted our first baby but found out that we were going to have a baby!
Our little girl (which we found out later) is due October 3rd. Today, I am 31 weeks along with only 9 more to go! We are both really excited for her to get here. She's already a big part of our family and can't wait until she's in our home! For your viewing pleasure here are some baby belly pics!
February was also a crazy month for us because we moved from our apartment in Sugar City into a mobile home in outskirts of Rexburg. We found it randomly on a Friday and went to go look at it. By that Monday they had informed our landlords (before us) that they would like us to move in that next week. We decided to move because our complex was starting to turn trashy and was becoming a very uncomfortable living situation. Also, rent was $100 less than what we paying. So with little time to really think about it or prepare, we moved. The hardest part of moving was leaving our ward! We really loved our ward and still miss them but we have come to love our new ward as well. We got called to serve in the primary in our new ward. We have been teaching the CTR 4 class. We love the kids and the challenges that come with that age group have helped us to grow.
As far as other updates.... Craig was accepted into his Speech Pathology master's program at Idaho State University in Pocatello. He will start his prerequisites in the fall. His classes for the first year or so will be online and then after that he can choose to stay online or go to the campus. Our hope is to move to Idaho Falls and then from there he can take a shuttle to Pocatello (Craig has no desire to live in Pocatello and from what everyone says about it, I don't blame him). We are hoping we can move in Sept. before the baby gets here but if not we'll keep looking and move when we find the right place. We are on a month to month contract right now and can move just about any time so we are in no rush. Craig is hoping to find a job in Idaho Falls in the fall and if don't move before he finds a job he'll just commute to work. Craig has also been working at the Diamond P Ranch again this summer in West Yellowstone guiding horseback trail rides. He loves being back on a horse!

He also continues to work at Winger's on a couple days a week. He's been a busy guy this summer working about 50-55 hours per week! I love the little time that we get to spend together and so grateful to have a husband who works so hard to provide and take care of our little family.
As for me, I have been working at the dry cleaners and growing a baby! As of about a week ago, I stopped working full time. I now work on Tuesdays, every other Saturday, and have been on call for when they need someone. Life as a housewife has been a little bit of an adjustment. I find that I get bored easily when I am home by myself. But since I get bored, I clean or find projects to do around the house. I was going to use this time to organize our 2nd bedroom and prepare for our baby but since we may be moving soon, I am going to start packing away the things we don't use very often and getting rid of the things we never use or don't need. Even if we don't move until after the baby is born at least will have less junk in our house!
Our pets continue to bring us joy! Hank is the coolest pet, besides Jack of course, that we have owned.
He is such a little bugger (as my nephews Calvin and Cash call him). He loves to play with feet and crawl inside things like the bathroom trash cans, laundry basket, kitchen cabinets, and under the dishwasher. His new favorite toy is getting the toilet paper off the toilet paper rack in the bathrooms and playing with it.
This summer we have had the opportunity to take a few trips! In June we went to Denver. Sarah's friend, Jessica, got married on the 18th and she was one of the bride's maids. It was such a beautiful wedding and we are so happy for them! Jessica's daughter was able to get sealed to her and her husband! What a blessing for them! While we were in Denver, Sarah's mom threw her a baby shower! It was so fun to see friends from high school and celebrate us having a baby! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and people in our lives that give us support and are excited for us!

We also went to the butterfly pavillion with Sarah's brother Spencer. It's cool to go and watch the butterflies fly around and just be free! One even landed on Craig's hat.
There are also tropical plants, turtles, and fish. Being in there kind of reminded Craig of Tonga. Here are some more pictures from the butterfly pavillion...
While in Denver, we also spent a day with Sarah's dad and stepmom. It was so wonderful to see them! We went to a hibachi grill for lunch, saw Mr. Popper's penguins, and went to the White Fence Farm for dinner with them and Sarah's brother Robert.
The trip went by so fast but we loved seeing family and friends and spending time with them. I miss Denver but I am so lucky to have wonderful friends and family in Idaho as well.
Last weekend we went to Yellowstone (Jack's roots).

It was so fun to get away and spend time together. Craig worked the ranch on Saturday so I drove up later in the day and met him there. We went to Canyon Street for dinner and saw The Drowsy Chaperone at the Pinecone Playhouse on Saturday night. On Sunday we went to the Running Bear for breakfast, sacrament meeting, and then into the park. Usually when we go to the park, we go with people who have never been before we see the usual spots like Old Faithful. Since we've seen the popular spots many times we wanted to do something we have never done before. So we drove to Roosevelt and took a ride on the carriage.
The carriage ride was fun. It was about 45 min. long and went on the original carriage trail. When we stopped at the turn around place we saw a whole heard of buffalo!

The carriage ride was really bumpy so it was hard to get good pictures while we were on it.
While we were at Roosevelt we were going to go on a little hike to Lost Falls or Lost Lake, or to this old hotel and bar foundation that our guide on the carriage told us about but it was starting to rain a little and decided against it. We were also going to eat at the lodge but when we were done with the carriage ride there was still about and hour until dinner at 4:30. Craig had looked at menus online before our trip and decided that he wanted an elk burger in Roosevelt. The diner in Mammoth said that they also served elk burgers so instead of waiting for the diner in Roosevelt to open for dinner we decided to drive to Mammoth. Well, when we got to Mammoth we found out that their dinner started 5 and still had about 45 minutes to kill. So we waited. When we got seated, Craig go the unfortunate news that they didn't have elk burgers! He was a little sad inside but ordered buffalo sliders (mini burgers) instead. I think next time we'll just wait instead of moving on. After dinner we purchased our traditional Christmas ornament and magnet (we try and get a ornament and magnet on every trip we take anywhere) and went home. It was a fun little trip and so wonderful to spend time together outside of the house!
That's about all that has been going with us. We'll try and be better about updating our blog! Once we have a baby, I plan to update it more often so people can see her and watch her grow... we'll see how that plan goes!
