Dear Friends and Family,
Well, it’s been another busy year! As most of you remember, Sarah graduated from BYU-Idaho this time last year. Craig was lucky enough to follow soon after in April. We are both VERY glad to be done with school, at least for now…
Craig isn’t AS excited about it, since he recently decided to go on to grad school. He is considering a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. The decision was made a little while after graduation, so he’ll have to wait a little bit longer before he can begin attending, but hopes to get into the program at ISU in Pocatello. They have had a 100% job placement rate for that program in the last few years. He is still working at Winger’s in Rexburg, and just picked up a second job working at Great Harvest Bakery. They’re both good jobs, although they keep him motivated to keep working on those grad school applications! He was able to pick up a few guitar students to teach, and also has a voice student. It’s been fun. He hopes to get more students soon. He is the new Primary chorister in our ward. It’s challenging, but the kids have fun with him. (Although, the adults seem more entertained most of the time.)
Sarah is still wickedly awesome and beautiful (compliments of Craig), and has been working still at the Hometown Dry Cleaners. It’s been a good job. We were lucky that a few months ago her boss decided to provide benefits, which we were eager to take advantage of. For now, we have a “maternity package” in hopes of expanding our family sooner than later. Sarah is still working in the nursery in our ward, which she LOVES! She most enjoys snack time, and has developed a renewed appreciation for fruit snacks and goldfish crackers. Next year they may incorporate naptime, which is most likely going to be her new favorite part of her calling. Lucky!
Jack is still Jack! He may be just a dog, but we are really happy to have him around. He loves playing with his squeaker, going for rides in his daddy’s Blazer, and food. Mostly food. Really…food, snacks, bread, the dry crusty noodles that fall on the floor. Let’s just say that we don’t have to sweep the kitchen floor very often. This year we gave away our rabbit, Peanut, and replaced her with a new rabbit, Snickerdoodle (Snickers for short). She was the runt of the litter, although you wouldn’t guess it now! She likes her blanket (don’t ask), carrots, and…well she really just sits around a lot. We also decided to downsize a little and got rid of our turtle and our two bearded dragon lizards. They were fun, but we decided it was time to de-clutter a little.
As a family this year, we took many rides on our new motorcycle! (1983 Honda v45 Sabre) It has been a lot of fun, and has always been Craig’s dream to have one. We also sold our pickup and got an ’89 Chevy Blazer which gets a bit better gas mileage. It has more seating too. We were able to enjoy some adventures this year as well. We enjoyed a little post-graduation trip to the Black Swan Inn. It was a much-needed vacation! We also spent a few days in July with Sarah’s family in Yellowstone. That was a fun trip. Craig got to meet more of her family that he hadn’t met yet. In October…WE WENT TO DISNEYLAND! Craig’s family has been planning this trip since before we were married, and we were so excited to finally go. We’ve wanted to go back ever since we got home!
It’s been a great year for us! We’re so happy to have so many friends and family members that are always looking out for us! We love you all and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
