P is for...Perfect Get-away

Recently, we were discussing the need to have a fun little vacations for ourselves. We haven't really had one since we got married. Denver was spent with Sarah in a very small bed and Craig on the floor, Red fish lake was on the ground in a tent, and even our honeymoon was simply a night at the Black Swan Inn and then back home to unpack and then on to work. So, Sarah had never been to Jackson...


Craig did some investigating on-line, and found out that by booking by the end of April, it was off-season and we could pick up a room for much less than half of the usual rate. $60 for a room 3 blocks from town square in Jackson Hole...yeah we were excited!!! So Craig got someone to pick up his shift, and away we went to the mountains.


We left a little later in the evening, and headed up over Teton Pass. When we got into town we checked into our room at the Rustic Inn, which is a fun little, cabin style hotel. The room was kind of small, but still really nice. We got ready and headed to Bubba's Bar-B-Que for dinner. Excellent choice! And they have really good fries. Then we played around just a little in the hotel's heated outdoor pool. It wasn't bad unless you got out. Then it was cold! We also enjoyed the Finlandian Sauna. Then, we spent the rest of the night in the room relaxing.


The breakfast at the hotel was amazing. Omlets, sausages, bacon, fruit, juice, french toast, turnovers...it was great. Then we just wandered the shops. We got our traditional christmas tree ornament, and magnet. Sarah's favorite was the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum.

This is Sarah underneath the antler arch at Jackson Town Square. It was the first thing she noticed wen we got into town. (besides the geese wondering the streets).

Craig believes in Bigfoot, so he was excited to finally meet him.

Just thought this was fun.
